Solar-Draft

Three installers, one roof at a time.

Installer in a navy jacket at the open side door of a white van, outside a stone cottage with a loch and hills behind

Solar-Draft started when an electrician and a roofer got fed up seeing panels fitted badly: cables left loose on the roof, batteries squeezed into lofts, and estimates nobody could hit.

We are still small on purpose. The person who surveys your roof designs your system, and is on your roof on install day. If something is not worth doing, we will say so.

“I would rather talk you out of a battery than fit one that never pays for itself.”
Fiona Grant, director and lead installer (fictional)

Who you will meet

No call centre and no subcontractors. On a real site, these would be photos of the team.

What we will and won’t do

We will

  • Draw every panel on a photo of your roof before you agree to anything
  • Base your estimate on your roof, your shading and Scottish weather
  • Put batteries in a garage, utility room or on an outside wall
  • Leave you with the MCS certificate and an app that is set up

We won't

  • Quote from a satellite picture without visiting
  • Put a battery in your loft, a bedroom or on an escape route
  • Push a limited-time offer to rush you into signing
  • Disappear once the scaffold comes down
